Terms of use

Last updated August 6, 2026

These terms cover the Mair website and the specialist application. Mair is not yet open to clients. Until it is, everything here applies to applying, being reviewed, and holding a place in the House.

Who we are

Mair is an at-home beauty and wellness house. We recruit and vet licensed specialists, then introduce them to clients in their homes, hotels, and offices. We are recruiting the founding roster in Miami, with other states next.

Using this site

You may use this site to learn about Mair and to submit an application. You may not scrape it, attempt to breach it, submit an application on someone else's behalf, or impersonate anyone. We may suspend access if you do.

Applying

Everything you tell us must be true and current, including your legal name, license number and expiry, years of experience, and the work in your portfolio. Submitting an application does not create a contract, a job offer, or a guarantee of approval. We review every application personally and we may decline for any lawful reason.

To be considered you need all of the following.

  • ·To be 18 or older, with a government-issued photo ID
  • ·A current license for every service you offer
  • ·At least 2 years of professional experience
  • ·Liability insurance, your own, required before your first booking
  • ·The legal right to work in the United States

Independent contractor status

Specialists work with Mair as self-employed independent contractors, not as employees. You control your own schedule, your travel radius, your kit, your products, and your methods. You are responsible for your own taxes, your own insurance, and your own licensing. Nothing on this site creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship.

Compensation

The rate you set is the rate you are paid. No sliding scale, no fine print. Tips are yours in full and are never commissioned. Invitation-only placements are arranged individually and are not priced here. Payouts begin when bookings open in your market, and are governed by the contractor agreement you e-sign during onboarding. Where these terms and that agreement differ, the contractor agreement controls.

Your work and your photos

Your portfolio stays yours. By uploading it you give Mair permission to display it on your profile and to use it in Mair marketing while you are in the House. Tell us in writing and we will stop. Do not upload work that is not yours or photos of a client who has not agreed to be shown.

Messages you receive

When you apply, you agree to receive email and text messages about your application: confirmation, requests for documents, and the decision. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts. Opting out of texts does not stop the email record of your application.

Verification

We verify licenses directly with the relevant state board, and we check that your insurance is current. We meet everyone before a client does. We never store your Social Security number.

Ending things

You can withdraw your application or leave the House at any time by writing to us. We may decline an application, pause a profile, or remove a specialist for a lapsed license, expired insurance, a failed verification, misrepresentation, or conduct that puts a client at risk.

Liability

The site is provided as it is, without warranties. To the fullest extent the law allows, Mair is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site or from an application decision. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as Mair grows. The date at the top always reflects the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
